Tony Jiménez is the Managing Partner of Medina Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investments in dual-use technologies across artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and next-generation cybersecurity. He is responsible for overall fund management, including investment decision-making, portfolio construction, governance, operations, regulatory compliance, and investor reporting.

Tony has more than twenty years of experience across venture capital, institutional finance, and government. At Medina Ventures, he leads the investment committee process, establishes underwriting and risk management standards, oversees fund compliance and operational controls, and manages limited partner relationships. The firm participates in federally affiliated innovation programs, including DARPA Venture Horizons and the U.S. Army DEVCOM / Army Research Laboratory venture initiatives.

Additionally, Tony co-founded Florida Quantum, a statewide commercial initiative focused on attracting, scaling, and retaining quantum technology companies in Florida through coordinated engagement with state and federal governments, research institutions, and corporate partners. He also serves as a strategic advisor to eMerge Americas, a leading technology and innovation platform that provides Medina Ventures with differentiated early-stage sourcing and ecosystem visibility.

Prior to Medina Ventures, Tony served as Managing Director at Medina Capital, a registered investment advisory platform focused on cybersecurity and critical IT infrastructure investments. In that role, he was responsible for fund operations, regulatory and financial oversight, investor relations, and portfolio management. Earlier in his career, he was a Principal at Richmond Global Ventures, where he supported sourcing, diligence, portfolio monitoring, and capital formation for an early-stage technology fund investing across the United States and select international markets.

Tony has also served as a founder and board-level executive of operating companies, providing practical experience in early-stage execution, capital formation, and governance. This experience informs his approach to diligence, risk assessment, and post-investment oversight.

Earlier in his career, Tony served in the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of the Secretary, where he supported senior leadership on communications and international trade initiatives. This experience informs his work with portfolio companies operating in regulated and government-adjacent markets.

Tony holds an MBA in Design Strategy from California College of the Arts and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. He is based in Miami, Florida.
